Mohamed is a seasoned and strategic leader in the areas of strategy, knowledge management, tax administration and policy, research, and national development planning. With a distinguished career that spans the public sector and academia, he is leading the Oxus Management Consultants team.
He is the former commissioner for strategy at the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), where his remit included spearheading the authority’s strategic planning, innovation, policy, research, knowledge management, and risk management. Prior to joining KRA, he was the Economic Pillar Director at the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Secretariat, the organization tasked with coordinating the country’s long-term development plan. At the Kenya Vision 2030, he was responsible for giving overall leadership and strategic direction to the implementation of the Vision 2030 flagship projects in the economy’s productive sectors. With respect to academia, he teaches at the University of Nairobi and has previously held the position of assistant professor at the Kuwait Maastricht Business School. Mr. Joseline Sikwabu Ogai is an experienced expert and leader in national planning, strategic
planning, tax policy, macro economic policy design and formulation and tax policy research. His
career has spanned over 3 decades in the public sector, in the Planning Ministry, National Treasury
and the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
As the former Deputy Commissioner in KRA in charge of Research and Corporate (strategic) Planning (2006-2020) he was responsible for formulation of the Authority’s Strategic Plans, developing and overseeing the Authority’s tax research agenda, revenue forecasting and revenue
reporting, coordination of the Authority’s revenue enhancement programs as well as liaison with
institutions including the World Bank and IMF. As the former head of the Macro Economic Planning Department in the Planning Ministry and the National Treasury, he was the Convenor of the Macro Economic Working Group (MWG) of the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) as well as the macro frameworks of various national plans. In this role he participated in the development of the KIPPRA Treasury Macro Model (KTMM) – still the main macro forecasting model in the country. He was also involved in the production of key national policy documents including the Economic Recovery Strategy (2003) and the Vision 2030 where he served on the Committee of Experts. He also co-ordinated the GOK/UNDP ‘Good Governance for Poverty Eradication (GGPE)’ programme. He holds an MA from Lake head University (Ontario, Canada, and a Bachelors (BA) Economics from Nairobi University.
Dr Kalmey holds a PhD in Organizational Health and Wellbeing from Lancaster University, UK.
He is also an experienced education management professional and consultant. Having worked in
many countries, he brings a wealth of experience in globalization and the global movement of
people, especially the effect of cultures as businesses expand abroad. His research interests are in
Expatriation, Immigration and Organizational health and Wellbeing. In addition to the PhD, he
holds MA and BSc (hons).
CPA Dr Peter Onchari Kereri is an experienced expert in the areas of accounting
including taxation, Human Resource, Internal audit and Corporate Governance.
He has previously worked as Chief Finance officer for over two decades, Internal
auditor and handled consultancy assignments with the World Bank in areas of financial
accounting. He has experience of holding senior positions in the County Government
and other non-governmental organizations.
He brings in rich experience in Corporate Governance having served as a member of
the Board in the public sector and as chairman of a County Public service Board in
Kenya. He has also conducted different research works in Financial Accounting and
audit committees in different sectors.
CPA Dr Kereri holds a PhD in Business (Accounting) from AIIAS (Philippines), Master in
Business Administration (MBA) Accounting from Baraton University (Kenya) and A
Bachelors in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) from KEMU (Kenya).
He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in good and regular standing and a Member
of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
CPA Ibrahim is an experienced auditor and tax expert. He has undertaken various assignments in
financial reviews and audit, assurance and advisory, corporate finance, forensic audit and
taxation. He is well versed with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and
international standards on auditing (ISAs).
Ibrahim is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya CPA(K) and holds a bachelor’s degree in
Economics and Statistics. He is also a Certified Forensic Fraud Examiner (CFE) finalist. He is a
member of the institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and also a member of
the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
Abdull Ali is an international business specialist with over 20 years’ experience in foreign direct
investment, export promotion, entrepreneurship and SME development, technology and digital
transformation.
Having worked in the UK, UAE and Kenya, Abdull has been in the forefront of international
business development across Europe, Middle East and Africa and has accumulated deep
knowledge of global business management, improving government programs and incentives to
attract foreign investments and promoting exports to international markets.
Abdull has worked with leading international technology companies offering innovative solutions
to customers around the world. He has also advised a number of governments on technology
transformations, international investment attractions and developing national exports, SME and
entrepreneurship development and job creations for young people.
